On offer:


• $54 per hour (casual rate)
• Fixed Term contract until 20th July 2025
• Based in a small remote community in the NT - accommodation will be provided.
• Option for FIFO -  6 weeks on, 2 weeks off (negotiable). 
 

The role:

Provide case management and therapeutic support to at-risk youth in a remote Arnhem Land community, addressing individual and family needs in a culturally safe and resonant way. Support young people in avoiding entry into the youth justice system through restorative practices and positive life pathways.

Facilitate youth-led early intervention programs, including dance and music, and contribute to broader community-driven initiatives promoting social and emotional wellbeing. In collaboration with families, local leaders, and stakeholders, deliver culturally relevant activities that address the social risks young people face, while fostering their personal development and leadership.

Work closely with key services such as the local police, cultural leaders, and wellness programs, ensuring a holistic approach to youth and family support. Additionally, maintain compliance with statutory reporting requirements and advocate for youth participation in cultural activities.
 

Essential Criteria: 


• Diploma or higher in Community Services, Youth Work, Social Work, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years' experience working with at-risk youth
• Strong understanding of Aboriginal culture, intergenerational trauma, and culturally respectful practices
• Experience in case management, stakeholder collaboration, and community-led programs
• NT Working with Children Ochre card, a valid driver’s license, and a satisfactory criminal history check
