The Role:

As a Team Leader / Key Person, you will play a vital role in supporting NDIS participants while providing support to a team of Disability Support Workers. Your responsibilities will include overseeing daily operations of a SIL home such as managing rosters, coordinating participant appointments, and ensuring home supplies are well-maintained. Acting as a bridge between the support team and the SIL Manager, you will help create a smooth and effective care environment while maintaining compliance with NDIS requirements. This role is designed to ensure participants receive high-quality, culturally aligned care, making problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills essential for success.

You will take on specific tasks to lighten the workload of the SIL Manager, such as filling roster cancellations, overseeing grocery and household supplies, including scheduling and assigning carers for participant appointments. This role is a permanent position within a 24/7 roster, ensuring continuous support for participants while providing a fulfilling leadership opportunity within a dedicated and passionate team.

Essential Criteria:

• 2 years experience in Supported Independent Living (SIL) or a similar NDIS environment.
• Relevant Cert IV or Diploma is desirable 
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to coordinate rosters, appointments, and daily home operations.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to be on-call for operational support.
• Passion for supporting people with disabilities and a commitment to cultural inclusivity.
