The Functional Recovery Program is designed to support young people experiencing mental ill-health and their families.

The Role:

As the Team Leader of the Functional Recovery Program, you will oversee the coordination and delivery of group programs, provide supervision to the Senior Peer Support Worker, and manage the Family and Friends Program. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring high-quality service delivery that is aligned with evidence-based practices and the needs of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the Functional Recovery team, ensuring program goals are met.
  • Oversee and facilitate recovery-focused group programs for young people and families.
  • Provide direct clinical support where appropriate and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Ensure that data collection, reporting, and clinical documentation are completed.
  • Represent the program in community forums and promote early intervention principles.

Essential Criteria:

  • Approved tertiary qualification in a relevant allied health discipline, with current registration (AHPRA or AASW).
  • Advanced clinical skills in mental health assessment and treatment for young people.
  • Experience in leading therapeutic and recovery groups.
  • Commitment to improving the social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal young people.
  • Northern Territory Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card) and National Police Criminal History Report.
  • A valid Northern Territory driving licence.
