The role:
In this position you will work within regional services, responsible for delivering services, implementing programs, engaging with local communities, developing workforce capabilities, and managing emergency situations. Operating under an area-based regional model, your aim will be to provide responsive, innovative, and coordinated support that addresses local needs. By connecting with various stakeholders, such as service providers, schools, families, and communities, you will strive to understand their requirements and facilitate seamless transitions within the education system. Within these services, you will also play a vital role in overcoming social and economic challenges, delivering health and support services, and assisting vulnerable individuals to ensure improved learning and development outcomes for all.

As a Speech Pathologist, you will provide high-level speech therapy support services to enhance student learning by addressing communication and language disorders. You will undertake advanced well-being interventions, coordinate student support services within multi-disciplinary teams, and contribute to the development of student well-being policies. In this position, you will provide leadership within your teams, support teachers in designing educational programs for students with additional needs, and offer authoritative professional advice. Additionally, you will collaborate with other team members, contribute to professional development, and liaise with external organizations and professionals to meet students' support needs. Overall, you will play a crucial role in improving student learning and well-being through their expertise and collaborative efforts.

Essential Criteria
  • Minimum bachelor degree in Speech Pathology
  • SPA Registration
  • Experience in educational settings (desirable)
  • Current police check and WWCC
