The Job
An exciting opportunity for a Senior Speech with solid NDIS experience. The role will involve working across the lifespan, 5 – 65 years of age. This leadership role involves overseeing and mentoring junior therapists while managing a diverse caseload across clinic-based and outreach settings. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, implementing, monitoring, and reviewing individual care plans while providing expert guidance and training to colleagues and support networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and develop targeted intervention plans.
  • Review client progress and identify strengths and areas for further support.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions to enhance communication, cognitive, and functional abilities.
  • Establish therapy goals tailored to each individual’s unique needs and circumstances.
  • Provide education and practical strategies to clients and their support networks to enhance daily functioning.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate client records in line with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated and effective care.
  • Conduct client visits in-home and within the community as required.

Essential Criteria
  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy), or a Master’s in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current AHPRA registration.
  • Previous experience in a senior or leadership occupational therapy role.
  • Valid DHS (DCSI) Clearances, including Working with Children and NDIS Worker Screening.
  • Completion of Reporting Abuse and Neglect and Applied First Aid training (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current driver’s licence and access to a registered, insured vehicle for business purposes.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to support a team.
