Our client is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Speech Pathologist/ Senior Speech Pathologist to join their innovative Therapy Services team. This role provides the chance to make a significant impact by delivering evidence-based, holistic speech pathology services across multiple sites, while leading and mentoring junior therapists. The Role:
As a Speech Pathologist/ Senior Speech Pathologist, you will deliver high-quality, client-centred speech pathology assessments and interventions. You will work closely with participants, their families, and a multidisciplinary team to set and achieve therapy goals that optimize participant outcomes. Your responsibilities will include the provision of support for complex communication needs, prescription of assistive technologies, and mealtime management. You will also supervise and mentor junior therapists and students, while actively contributing to therapy innovation projects. This role is integral to the ongoing development of our client’s therapy team and aligns with their mission of delivering excellence in participant care and service provision.
Essential Criteria:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology and current registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong knowledge of person-centred approaches, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) methods, and assistive technology.
  • Proven experience conducting speech pathology assessments with a focus on expressive and receptive language.
  • High-level organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize workloads effectively.
  • Prior experience supervising junior therapists and supporting their professional development.
  • Current driver’s license, Working with Children’s Check, and knowledge of relevant legislative frameworks.
  • A commitment to upholding the values of leadership, respect, and social justice.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Experience in paediatric or adult disability services.
  • Familiarity with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and experience managing complex behaviours.
