As a Mental Health Clinician, you will deliver youth-friendly, family-inclusive mental health services with a strong focus on early intervention and recovery. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Clinical Practice: Provide screening, assessment, and goal-focused interventions, including risk assessments, safety planning, and therapeutic care for young people and families.
- Youth Engagement: Build positive rapport using a strength-based, person-centered approach to empower young people and families.
- Service Coordination: Facilitate warm referrals to internal and external services to meet individual goals and needs.
- Data and Reporting: Maintain accurate, professional records and comply with clinical standards and quality improvement processes.
- Community Engagement: Support the delivery of community awareness activities, group work, and events to promote mental health services.
Requirements
- A tertiary qualification in a clinical mental health/health discipline with a minimum of 3 years' experience and registration with AHPRA or membership with AASW.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting risk assessments, safety planning, and delivering culturally sensitive care to diverse groups, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and advocate for young people and their families.
- Flexibility and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- NT Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card), National Police Check (less than three months old), NT Driver’s Licence, and relevant vaccinations.
