The Role:

As a Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will provide psychological and behaviour support services to children, young people, and adults with disabilities. While providing supervision to core registered behaviour support practitioners and psychologists. You will assess client needs and develop, implement, monitor, and review intervention programs that align with individual goals in their NDIS plans. Collaborating closely with families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams, you will deliver evidence-based interventions that promote positive behavioural outcomes. Your role will include conducting functional behavioural assessments, supporting person-centered planning, and ensuring compliance with NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Framework. You will also contribute to the overall development of allied health services within the organisation, providing specialist advice to management. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining knowledge of best practices and participating in professional development activities.

Essential Criteria:
  • Tertiary qualification in psychology, behavioural support, or a related allied health field
  • Proficient or Advanced registered NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner
  • Experience working with individuals with complex needs and dual diagnoses
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and data interpretation skills
  • Knowledge of relevant disability legislation and standards
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Current NSW Working with Children Check and First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • A valid driver’s license
