The Job
Our client is seeking a motivated Rehabilitation Consultant to join their team. As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of clients with workplace injuries. Using a whole-of-life approach, you will conduct assessments, develop and implement return-to-work (RTW) plans, and coordinate with clients, medical providers, and employers to achieve the best possible outcomes for all involved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct various assessments, including worksite, vocational, functional, ergonomic, and home assessments.
  • Identify barriers to RTW and design programs to overcome these obstacles.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals, employers, and insurers to monitor and progress cases.
  • Develop comprehensive case notes and accurately document billing activities.
  • Ensure all services align with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Actively participate in critical case reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Criteria
  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, or Rehabilitation Counselling.
  • Full and current registration in your professional discipline.
  • At least 1 year of experience in occupational rehabilitation or injury management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of workers' compensation and occupational health and safety legislation.
  • Current Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
