Your duties will include leading community partnerships, representing the client in relevant forums, and providing leadership support to the team. You'll be part of a movement dedicated to social justice and equity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, families, and communities. Essential Criteria:
- Identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
- Legal qualifications and a NSW Practicing Certificate with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
- Demonstrated expertise in criminal, care & protection, and/or family law, including family violence prevention, impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
- Familiarity with the Aboriginal community-controlled sector and understanding of NSW Closing the Gap agreements, governance structures, and processes
- Availability for travel to regional, metropolitan, and interstate locations
- Previous experience in the Aboriginal community-controlled sector preferred
- Compliance with police check, working with children check, and current COVID-19 vaccination requirements
