About Our Client:

An exciting opportunity is available for a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join a dynamic and highly regarded allied health team. This role offers the chance to enhance professional and clinical skills while developing leadership abilities. As part of a registered NDIS provider, the successful candidate will deliver capacity-building therapies to individuals with disabilities across all age groups. In addition, the organisation provides accredited injury prevention and management services, as well as disability employment support for both government and corporate sectors. The team is committed to delivering person-centred services that empower individuals to build independence, particularly for those facing significant disadvantages.

The Role:
In this role, you will manage a caseload, working closely with clients to develop and implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans. You will conduct clinical assessments, provide individual and group treatments, and coordinate case management. The position requires delivering high-quality services, maintaining detailed records, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. You’ll also provide training in behaviour management strategies, foster relationships with key stakeholders, and ensure continuous improvement of service delivery.
  • Developing Functional Behavioural Assessments and Positive Behaviour Support Plans
  • Providing direct behavioural interventions in individual and group sessions after assessment and diagnosis 
  • Using behavioural, psychological, and evidence-based theories to develop and implement program designs and interventions
  • Develop and maintaining professional relationships with all key stakeholders
  • Adhering to NDIS quality and safeguard commission requirements

Essential Criteria:
  • Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate qualifications related to Positive Behaviour Support e.g., Positive Behaviour Support, Developmental Education, Psychology, Social Work, Behavioural Science, Applied Behaviour Analysis.
  • Current registration within relevant professional body
  • At least 1 years’ experience demonstrating positive behaviour support services. 
  • High-level of oral and written communication skills including the demonstrated ability to prepare and finalise technical reports
  • Compliance checks including the NDIS Workers Screening Check, National Criminal History Check, WWCC and NDIS Practitioner ID and Self-Assessment. Or meets the requirements of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (Positive behaviour Support Capability Framework).
