The Role
As the Occupational Therapy Lead, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based Occupational Therapy services while also offering clinical leadership to the Occupational Therapy team. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Performing dynamic assessments and designing holistic therapy plans centered on clients' aspirations.
  • Proactively adapting environments, reducing barriers, and identifying new ways for clients to thrive.
  • Guiding equipment decisions and providing leadership in clinical practices and service development.
  • Collaborating with the directors on strategic goals, recruitment, and performance appraisals for the allied health team.
  • Representing the organization in public forums and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Overseeing quality management, including clinical supervision and documentation processes.

Essential Criteria
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Ongoing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Extensive clinical experience, particularly in community settings, rehabilitation, or pediatrics.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within allied health or community services.
  • High-level written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience with contemporary Occupational Therapy practices and knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
  • A current, unrestricted driver’s license and eligibility to obtain a Medicare Provider Number.
Desirable: Experience working with individuals with mental health, psychosocial conditions, ASD, and intellectual disabilities.
