The role:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, community-based occupational therapy services to a diverse range of clients. Your role will involve conducting comprehensive home-based assessments, focusing on activities of daily living, mobility, and home safety. You will provide expert recommendations on home modifications, equipment needs, and risk management, ensuring that all solutions align with best practice standards and client-specific requirements.

You will play a key role in delivering client-centred care by collaborating with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop tailored intervention plans. Your duties will include providing manual handling training, maintaining detailed clinical and administrative records, and liaising with external stakeholders to support holistic, community-based care. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and legal requirements will be integral to your practice, as will your ability to communicate assessed needs clearly to clients and case managers.

In this role, you will contribute to a dynamic and supportive team environment, fostering professional growth and sharing knowledge with peers. You will be expected to stay up to date with evidence-based practices, actively participate in meetings, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy or relevant discipline
  • General AHPRA registration 
  • Minimum 2 years' experience
  • Valid NDIS Check
  • Working With Children Check
  • Police Check
  • Driving License
  • Medicare Providers Number
