The Role
As an Occupational Therapist, you’ll operate as a confident, independent practitioner, delivering evidence-based, person-centred therapy to NDIS participants aged 2 to 65. You’ll work with a diverse range of presentations including developmental delay, autism, intellectual disabilities, neurological conditions, and rare genetic disorders. Whether providing supports in homes, schools, or clinic settings, you’ll tailor your approach to meet the unique needs of each participant and have the opportunity to specialise in areas of interest within your caseload.

You’ll be responsible for maintaining a consistent clinical caseload, ensuring your work aligns with participants' NDIS goals and contributes to measurable outcomes. Your role will include documenting all administrative tasks accurately and within expected timeframes, while also engaging proactively with supervisors to manage and optimise your billable hours. In addition, you’ll actively participate in education initiatives and collaborate with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure continuity and quality of care.
Ongoing development is key to success in this role. You’ll attend regular supervision and performance reviews, engage in professional development activities, and participate in team training sessions. Your flexibility and ability to work across different environments—be it in the community, at various locations, or within a multidisciplinary team—will ensure you continue to provide high-quality, responsive, and effective services to the people you support.
