A chance to make a real difference in the lives of Indigenous youth as a Children and Families Intensive Support Case Manager in Tennant Creek. 
 

On Offer:

  • $70-75 per hour including casual loading
  • 3-6 month assignment - full time hours 
  • Flights / travel covered
  • Subsidised accommodation - single unit

The Role:

As a Case Manager to support Indigenous Children and Families who have experienced trauma. You'll work directly with young people at risk, helping them feel safe, supported, and empowered. Your role will involve:

  • Developing and delivering culturally responsive support plans
  • Facilitating positive engagement, interventions, and activities
  • Working alongside families to strengthen care and safety for kids
  • Collaborating with community services, government agencies & stakeholders
  • Keeping accurate reports and ensuring compliance with child protection processes

Requirements:

  • Diploma or higher in Child, Family & Youth Interventions, Community Services, Counselling, or similar
  • Experience working with Aboriginal communities & delivering trauma-informed care
  • Strong case management skills & knowledge of child welfare legislation
  • Ability to build meaningful relationships with families & community networks
  • Experience in planning and evaluating programs with measurable outcomes
  • Understanding of Aboriginal culture, traditions & child-rearing practices
  • Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander candidates are encouraged to apply!
