The Role

As a Financial Counsellor, you will provide free, independent, and confidential financial counselling services to individuals experiencing or at risk of financial hardship. Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering financial counselling sessions and emergency relief assistance
• Assisting individuals with crisis management and resolving financial difficulties
• Conducting comprehensive need assessments and developing tailored financial plans
• Providing financial literacy education and promoting good money management practices
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support clients' needs

Requirements:

• Diploma in Community Services (Financial Counselling) and registration with an affiliated professional body
• Experience in financial counselling or human services casework
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
• Empathetic and nonjudgmental approach towards clients
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and client management databases
• Ability to work effectively in a team and maintain collaborative relationships
