The Role

As the Clinical Governance Advisor, you will:

  • Lead the development and implementation of clinical governance frameworks to improve quality, safety, and compliance.
  • Oversee clinical risk management, including incident reporting, safeguarding, and accreditation preparation.
  • Chair the Clinical Governance Committee and provide expert recommendations to the General Manager Quality Systems.
  • Monitor and report on clinical governance data, including audits, complaints, and performance measures.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to embed evidence-based, culturally safe practices across all services.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Degree in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or Mental Health with relevant board registration.
  • Experience: Proven track record in clinical governance, risk management, and preparing for accreditations.
  • Cultural Competency: Ability to work respectfully and effectively with Indigenous communities.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership abilities, with the capacity to manage complex tasks and priorities.
  • Valid NT Driver’s Licence
  • Ochre Card (Working with Children Clearance).
  • Willingness to travel regularly, including light aircraft travel and staying in basic accommodations.
  • Unlimited work rights in Australia
