Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech Pathologist to join their team, providing life-changing services that support children and young adults with speech, social communication, language, swallowing/feeding, and literacy difficulties. The Speech Pathologists also specialise in implementing augmentative and alternative communication systems, ensuring comprehensive support for their clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and create person-centred goals for clients.
- Collaborate with families and wider allied health teams to individualise therapy processes and techniques.
- Provide support with speech difficulties, social communication, and safe swallowing.
- Implement appropriate Augmentative and Alternative Communication Systems.
- Treat language disorders, stuttering, pronunciation issues, and other common conditions.
- Conduct voice therapy sessions.
- Engage in open communication with parents, discussing conditions knowledgeably and with care.
- Utilise evidence-based strategies and engaging activities to make therapy fun and effective.
Essential Criteria:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech Pathology.
- SPA registration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- WWCC, National Police Check, Drivers License required
- Full Drivers License
