A leading paediatric service provider, supporting kids with developmental challenges, dedicated to delivering exceptional care and fostering a supportive work environment. They are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Speech Pathologist to join their team and contribute to their mission of enhancing client well-being and supporting the development of the clinical team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide expert diagnostic and therapeutic services to children with a wide range of developmental challenges, including speech and language disorders, autism spectrum disorder, and developmental delays.
- Provide supervision and mentorship to designated clinicians, supporting their professional growth and ensuring high clinical standards.
- Assist in the administration and organisation of the clinical team, including scheduling and problem-solving.
- Lead and contribute to team trainings, discipline-specific meetings, and professional development initiatives.
- Act as a key point of contact for clinical staff, addressing any issues and providing guidance.
- Support the Clinical Lead and Director in managing the operational aspects of the clinical team, including client care and documentation standards.
- Participate in leadership meetings, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making.
Essential Criteria
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience with a strong ability in clinical reasoning
- Proven leadership skills, particularly in supervising and mentoring junior staff
- High standard of written documentation and communication skills
- Relevant qualifications and current membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- Preparedness to obtain or current possession of required certifications, including Medicare Provider Number, Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening, and First Aid Certificate
