The role:
As a Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you will provide high-quality therapy services to children and their families, with a strong focus on neurodiverse presentations. Your role includes conducting assessments, setting goals, designing interventions, and reviewing progress to support children in achieving their full potential. Working independently, you will apply clinical judgment in complex cases while ensuring all documentation meets professional standards. Additionally, you will supervise and mentor less-experienced therapists, fostering their confidence and capability in working with neurodivergent clients.

Beyond clinical care, you will contribute to a supportive and inclusive team culture by promoting a neurodiversity-affirming approach in all aspects of practice. You will champion open communication, knowledge-sharing, and continuous learning to enhance the team's collective expertise. Active participation in team meetings, professional development, and training sessions will be key, as well as strengthening relationships with referral partners and community networks to improve access to services for neurodivergent children and their families.

A commitment to professional growth and evidence-based practice is essential. You will stay informed of the latest research and therapeutic approaches in neurodiversity, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and uphold workplace health and safety standards. Essential Criteria
  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy or relevant discipline
  • Minimum 3 years' experience
  • Strong experience in working with neurodiverse clients
  • General AHPRA registration 
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check and Orientation Modules
  • Police Check
  • Working with Children Check
