The role:

Your primary objective is to empower NDIS participants, addressing challenges stemming from injury, illness, psychological complexities, or developmental delays. Emphasizing a participant-focused approach, your responsibilities involve promoting choices, respecting rights, and facilitating personalized decision-making to enhance the overall quality of life.

In this dynamic role, you will engage in a diverse array of activities, including assisting participants in daily living tasks, fostering community integration, and supporting educational and vocational endeavours. Your expertise will be instrumental in assessing and recommending assistive technologies or environmental modifications, ensuring compliance with legal and certification requirements. Effective communication is paramount, requiring clarity and respect while adapting to the unique characteristics of each participant. Building trust and cultivating positive relationships are essential, and collaboration with support teams, including family, friends, advocates, and nominated others, is a fundamental aspect of your work.

Flexibility is a key attribute as you observe and respond dynamically to participants' evolving needs, celebrating milestones and promoting independence. Your commitment to health and safety is paramount, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential risks. Furthermore, you actively contribute to the ongoing improvement of our client's services by seeking participant feedback, adjusting service delivery as needed, and supporting participants in actively contributing to review processes.
