The role:
As a Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner in this dynamic not-for-profit organisation, you will lead the provision of comprehensive behaviour support services in the community. Working with individuals presenting with complex behaviours of concern, including those with intellectual disabilities and mental health challenges, you will focus on delivering person-centred, evidence-based interventions that improve quality of life. You’ll be managing a caseload within a 35-minute radius of your locality, ensuring your support is readily accessible.

Your role will involve conducting assessments, developing tailored Behaviour Support Plans, and offering ongoing support to clients, their families, and support networks. A key aspect of the role is reducing restrictive practices while empowering clients to build capacity and independence. You will also be responsible for tracking progress through data-driven evaluations and modifying strategies as needed.

In addition to your clinical duties, you will mentor and coach less experienced practitioners, playing a pivotal role in team development. This is a great opportunity to work with a dedicated and supportive multidisciplinary team in a flexible, community-based setting.
