The Role
As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will provide clinical support and supervision to a team of therapists, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and promoting professional development. You will manage a small caseload and collaborate closely with other allied health professionals to deliver multidisciplinary care to clients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of occupational therapists, providing clinical guidance and support.
- Perform assessments and create tailored treatment plans for children and adolescents.
- Implement evidence-based speech therapy interventions for a varied paediatric client base.
- Collaborate with psychologists, speech pathologists, and other health professionals to deliver cohesive care.
- Mentor and support occupational therapists, encouraging their professional development.
- Partner with senior professionals to manage and oversee service delivery.
- Engage in case conferences, team meetings, and continuous professional development activities.
- Ensure documentation and reporting are completed accurately and promptly.
- Australian accredited tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
- Full AHPRA registration.
- 5 + years’ experience including mentoring and supervision.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices in occupational therapy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Working with Children Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
