The Role

As Senior Clinician, you’ll take a hands-on approach to supporting young people experiencing early psychosis and co-occurring mental health challenges. You’ll provide:

  • Clinical Care: Engage young people and their families through evidence-based interventions, holistic therapy, case management, and culturally safe care.
  • Risk Management: Conduct complex risk assessments, develop safety plans, and manage clinical risk within a recovery-oriented framework.
  • Team Leadership: Offer guidance, supervision, and training to your team, ensuring high-quality service delivery aligned with the Early Psychosis Program model of care.
  • Collaboration: Work with internal and external partners to enhance services and provide accessible pathways for young people and their families.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant Allied Health field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy) with current AHPRA registration or AASW membership.
  • Experience in engaging young people and families, delivering evidence-based interventions (e.g., CBT for psychosis), and supporting recovery.
  • Proven skills in risk assessment, safety planning, and managing complex mental health needs.
  • A commitment to culturally safe care, particularly for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people.
  • Hold or willing to obtain NT Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card), National Police Check, NT Driver’s Licence, and relevant vaccinations.
