The role:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the well-being and development of children and adults with diverse needs. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, which involve evaluating various aspects of a persons development, including physical, cognitive, sensory, and emotional dimensions. These assessments will serve as the foundation for creating individualized treatment plans that target specific goals and address the unique needs of each client.

In this role, collaboration will be key, as you will work closely with parents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to each client's care. Building strong relationships with families and other team members is essential for the success of the therapy process. You will have the opportunity to provide therapy services in the client's home environment, adapting it to create a supportive and engaging space for therapy sessions.

Your duties also include maintaining detailed progress reports and accurate records to track the development of each person's and facilitate effective communication with stakeholders. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare standards and regulations, upholding the highest ethical and professional standards in your practice. Your work as a Occupational Therapist will make a significant and positive impact on the lives of your clients and their families, helping them achieve their developmental milestones and improve their quality of life.

Essential Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapist
  • Demonstrated knowledge of AACQA Standards and NDIS Practice Standards
  • Current Police Check and Working With Children Check
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Valid Driving License and access to fully insured car
