The Role
As an Occupational Therapist, you'll be responsible for:
- Conducting thorough assessments to identify client needs and goals
- Providing recommendations for home modifications, equipment prescriptions, and assistive technology applications
- Developing personalised therapy plans based on assessment findings and evidence-based practices
- Implementing targeted interventions to achieve desired outcomes
- Collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary team members and stakeholders
- Monitoring client progress through ongoing evaluation and adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Providing education and support to clients, their families, and caregivers
- Desirable field experience (e.g., 2 years minimum).
- Solid knowledge of disability sector, including NDIS, assessment services, and/or private practice.
- Proven track record with positive outcomes working with individuals with disabilities.
- Strong assessment, treatment planning, and intervention skills, using evidence-based approaches.
- Required checks: NDIS Worker Screening, Working with Children, National Police Clearance.
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration.
- Possession of valid Australian Driver’s Licence.
- Clear understanding of assistive technology (AT) for improved client outcomes.
