- $48.70 per hour
- FIFO, 1 week on and one week off
- $80 living away from home allowance every night

The Role
The Mental Health Clinician will work under the direction of the Team Lead and work collaboratively with the Youth Engagement Officers to provide a range of mental health services including therapeutic counselling, group work, education and case coordination services.
Key Responsibilities Included but Not Limited To
- Promote the development and delivery of a high-quality intake and mental health response to young people local to the Meekatharra area.
- Work closely with young people, their families and community services to ensure safe and high-quality care practices during the engagement, assessment and service delivery phase.
- Increase client access to services by providing care through a flexible model of service.
- Conduct initial screening assessments with young people and their families, responding to referral requests in a timely manner and utilising agreed psycho-social assessments tools to determine suitability for service.
- Participate in regular clinical case review meetings and multi-disciplinary team meetings to ensure appropriate clinical service pathways and service delivery.
- Liaise with relevant referrers and other services to promote a consistent and coordinated service delivery response for young people and their families.
- Provide specialist youth mental health support and consultation to local agencies as required.
- A degree in Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing or equivalent as well as registration with relevant professional body.
- Qualifications in Youth and/or Adolescent Mental Health are highly desirable.
- Minimum of three years’ relevant mental health practitioner experience, preferably in a clinical setting, working with young people and families.
- Experience working and/or living in regional and remote communities working in small teams.
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and awareness of cultural protocols when consulting with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate sessions, activities and group work, in a regional environment.
