The Role:

As the Marketing Officer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust marketing and communication strategy to enhance brand awareness and engagement. You will manage social media platforms, coordinate website updates, and create compelling content for various audiences, including external stakeholders. The client support children and families in need dealing with guardianship, adoptions and long term care. Your role will include promoting public awareness of foster care and adoption, managing advertising campaigns, and supporting fundraising initiatives. You will play a key role in developing communication materials, newsletters, and the annual report. This position offers the opportunity to drive impactful communication efforts and contribute to a meaningful cause. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the success of all marketing initiatives. You will be working for a not-for-profit who support children, young people and families in need.

Essential Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, or a related field with a minimum of three years of relevant experience
  • Experience working in a not-for-profit organization
  • Proficiency in web content management systems (e.g., WordPress), client relationship management systems, MS Office, Canva, and AI tools
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, managing, and executing marketing strategies
  • Proven ability to create and maintain communication plans and schedules
  • Strong skills in content creation for diverse audiences
  • Experience in managing social media platforms and developing engagement strategies
  • Ability to support fundraising and community events, as well as manage fundraising initiatives
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Strong collaborative skills to work with internal and external stakeholders
