About the Role
As a Clinical Lead - Occupational Therapy, you will take on a pivotal leadership role within the allied health team. You’ll provide clinical supervision and mentorship to Occupational Therapists, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, client-centred care. This role involves managing a clinical caseload while fostering team development, promoting collaboration, and driving service quality improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership: Provide clinical leadership and supervision to the Occupational Therapy team, fostering professional growth and ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
- Mentorship: Support individual and team development through mentoring and professional guidance.
- Client Care: Oversee clinical assessments, treatment planning, and implementation of interventions to support client goals and independence.
- Quality Assurance: Lead case reviews and clinical governance activities to maintain high standards of care.
- Collaboration: Facilitate interdisciplinary communication and teamwork to deliver holistic, coordinated client care.
- Professional Development: Coordinate and promote staff training and continuous learning opportunities.
- Service Delivery: Manage a personal caseload alongside providing oversight and support to team members.
- Documentation: Ensure timely and accurate documentation of client assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Policy Development: Contribute to the creation and review of clinical policies and procedures.
Key Selection Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration.
- Minimum of three years’ experience, including team leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
- Experience working across clinic and community-based settings with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, National Police Check, and Working with Children Check.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to foster a positive team environment and drive professional development initiatives.
- Valid driver’s licence, insured vehicle, and eligibility to work in Australia.
- Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations.
