The Role:

As the Child, Youth, Family & Community Manager, you will provide strategic leadership and operational management to a diverse team of professionals delivering programs that support children, youth, families, and communities. You will be responsible for implementing and reviewing the operational plan, ensuring compliance with funding contracts, and developing innovative practices informed by evidence-based research. You will oversee the design, development, implementation, and review of programs and community initiatives, manage community hubs, and work closely with external stakeholders to promote a holistic approach to early intervention. The role involves identifying community needs, building capacity, and advocating for effective community strengthening. You will also provide regular reports to senior management and funding bodies, ensuring quality and continuous improvement across all program activities. You will have a team of 5 direct reports and up to 13 indirect.

Essential Criteria:
  • Degree in Social Work, Education, Psychology, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a human services environment.
  • Experience in Child Protection and managing contracts
  • Demonstrated understanding of evidence-based practices in early intervention, particularly concerning mental health.
  • Experience in program development and implementation in a government funding environment.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with ATSI and CALD communities.
  • Strong knowledge of the Greater Western Sydney region and its demographic challenges and opportunities.
  • Commitment to social justice, inclusion, and participative leadership.
  • High-level communication skills, including experience in tender writing, report writing, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Current NSW Driver's License, own vehicle, Working with Children Check, and National Police Check.
