AOD Nurse

Make a difference to the lives of people impacted by alcohol and drugs supporting people in a withdrawal/detox facility in central Sydney

On offer

• Casual/temp work $50.49 - $61.14 (AM shift) p/h + penalties 
• Work available over a three shift pattern AM 06:15am-14:21pm, PM 14:00pm-22:06pm, ND 21:51pm-06:21am with some potential for days 08:30am-16:00pm
• An initial block of shifts over the next few weeks - expected to be 2-5 shifts p/w, with a view to turning into more work after
• Surry Hills location - 2 mins from Central Station

The role 

• AOD assessment in line with Drug and Alcohol withdrawal guidelines
• Dispense and administer medication to manage withdrawals
• Support visiting Medical Officers where required 
• Admission & discharge of patients
• Develop, implement and monitor case plans
• Deliver education to support groups 

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with AHPRA
• Demonstrated experience in AOD / Mental Health setting
• Ability to use de-escalation techniques to deal with unpredictable situations and behaviours
• Strong admin and computer skills 
• Able to work AM PM ND over 7 days
