The role:

As a Senior Occupational Therapist focusing on paediatric care, you will deliver tailored assessments using a range of tools and approaches, ensuring child-focused, person-centred plans. You will design therapy interventions that align with each child’s aspirations, emphasizing skill development, environmental adaptations, and strategies to foster participation and independence. Your proactive approach will also involve guiding decisions on assistive technologies and daily living aids as needed.

Communication is key in this role, where you will collaborate closely with families and stakeholders to coordinate care, adapt intervention plans, and maintain high standards in documentation. Your responsibilities include producing detailed reports and maintaining timely case notes. You will also mentor other health professionals, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and engage in multidisciplinary teamwork to shape service delivery.

Additionally, you will commit to conducting home and community visits, ensuring seamless integration of therapy into children’s daily lives. Essential Criteria
  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working with Paediatrics
  • Experience with Assistive Technology is high desirable
  • Current Police Check, NDIS Workers Screening Check and Working with Children Check
  • Driving License and reliable vehicle
