About the Role
As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you’ll take on a leadership role, supporting a team of Occupational Therapists in delivering effective, client-centred care across a range of settings. You will work with clients of all ages, with the opportunity to specialise based on your expertise and interests. This role also involves providing mentorship and clinical supervision to team members, ensuring consistent, evidence-based practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Care: Conduct thorough assessments, create tailored treatment plans, and document client progress.
- Therapeutic Planning: Design and implement treatment programs to enhance clients' independence and quality of life.
- Mentorship: Guide and supervise junior therapists, fostering a supportive environment for growth and skill development.
- Collaboration: Work with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive, coordinated care.
- Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress.
- Service Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimise service delivery and client outcomes.
- Evidence-Based Practice: Incorporate the latest research findings into therapeutic interventions for clients and share knowledge within the team.
Key Selection Criteria
To be successful, you will need:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with AHPRA
- Minimum of three years of experience in NDIS-related occupational therapy, including conducting functional assessments
- Experience with both adult and paediatric clients
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, National Police Check, and Working with Children Check
- Strong communication, organisational, and time management skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- A genuine interest in contributing to clients' well-being
- Valid driver’s licence, insured vehicle, and eligibility to work in Australia
- Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations
